Coronation Street's Daisy Midgeley star Charlotte Jordan breaks silence as final scenes air after four years Charlotte Jordan previously confirmed her decision to leave the ITV soap after almost five years and she's now shared a new message with fans Coronation Street's Daisy Midgeley star Charlotte Jordan (Image: Coronation Street Instagram ) Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has spoken out in a new video message as her final scenes aired in the long-running show. It was during Friday night's (May 2) episode of the ITV soap that viewers saw her character, Daisy Midgeley, leave the Cobbles after almost five years - and she had one last scheming twist up her sleeve. ‌ Daisy first arrived in Weatherfield back in 2020 to step with former step-mother Jenny Connor. And it didn't take long for her to feathers, first encouraging Jenny's separation from her then-current husband Johnny Connor and later engineering Ryan Connor and Alya Nazir's split. ‌ In the years that have followed, Daisy has faced a number of trials and tribulations, having been central to a blackmail plot and faced a terrifying stalking ordeal at the hands of Justin Rutherford, which culminated in Daisy and Ryan Connor being the victims of an acid attack. After a recent whirlwind of drama involving a secret pregnancy, catfishing, and tangled romances, Daisy was seen ready to embark on a new chapter at the other side of the world. While she may be leaving a void in the heart of Weatherfield, she no doubt left devastation in her wake, particularly for Jenny as she left the Street in the same fashion she arrived. She said: "Hello. I wanted to pop on and say thank you for all of the love you've shown Daisy over the last four-and-a-half years. "It's been wonderful. It's been an honour to be a little piece of the Corrie history and I will miss this place very, very much. And yeah, it's goodbye for now." ‌ Fans were quick to respond. @sydneyxcobbles said: "I’m gonna miss her so much we are all forever proud of you Charlotte! Charlotte said of Corrie: "It’s a very special building, and I have loved it. And it’s just goodbye for now, not goodbye forever." Charlotte also talked about her final day on set and filming her last ever scenes. Meanwhile, Charlotte has recently confirmed what's next for her after leaving Corrie. "I do feel excited; it’s a fresh start," she said during her recent This Morning appearance. I feel like I’ve done a lot of soapy things. I’ve done the checklist. [Coronation Street] has been really good to me, and it just feels like time for a new beginning." "Yes, I am. I am joining The Archers, which is really fun," she said. "I start very soon, I can’t say very much about it, but the character will ruffle some feathers. That’s what I can say."
