Firefighters have closed a busy Nottinghamshire road to deal with a pylon fire and a burst water pipe, causing heavy congestion in the surrounding area. Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue stated on their social media at 5.15 pm on Friday, April 11, that there was a road closure between Bardills Island and Cleve Avenue towards Toton as a result. The traffic information website INRIX has indicated that there is currently an obstruction to the road, causing heavy delays to motorists in the area. The road closure has caused heavy congestion in the surrounding area due to the incident. A Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue spokesperson said: "There is currently a road closure in place from Toton Lane, Stapleford, between Bardills Island and Cleve Avenue towards Toton.
