The Coronation Street stalwart was nominated by eight of his fellow celebrities, putting him in the running for the first eviction. He is up against Mickey Rourke and Michael Fabricant following the series' initial nominations. Fans have voiced their disappointment at not seeing much of the actor, who plays David Platt, compared to his housemates. He has seldom participated in conversations in the scenes aired so far and hasn't had much screen time. His co-stars also seemed to notice Jack's withdrawal from the limelight, nominating him for seeming disinterested and not engaging with them. Other housemates who put him up for eviction were Ella Rae Wise, Patsy Palmer and Trisha Goddard. It became apparent that they all had something to say about Jack, and none of it was complimentary - with Patsy even likening him to The Joker from Batman as her reason, reports the Mirror. Following a series of edgy nominations on Big Brother, Jack's sibling stood up for him with a fiery response to his housemates' criticisms in a social media post shared on a private social media page seen by The Sun. Tom penned: "So just to catch up....... All the females in the Big Brother House hate my little brother because he either likes too much aftershave or sits back and listens to conversations without interrupting and saying too much!" Targeting musician Chesney and actress Patsy, best known for her role as Bianca Jackson on EastEnders, he quipped: "Meanwhile Chesney Hawkes is fuming Jack won't let him touch him so he's gotta go!" In comments reported by The Sun, Tom relentlessly vented: "So........ my Litte Bro is up against Hollywood Titan Mickey 'homophobic sex seducing' Rourke and Michael 'let's show my arse by the hot tub for views' Fabricant!". Meanwhile, Jack's Coronation Street colleagues have expressed their support, with Julia Goulding, who portrays his on-screen wife Shona Platt, making a case for keeping him in the house. Julia posted a selfie with Jack advocating: "I'm voting to keep [Jack] in! He's mint!" Samia Longchambon admitted her astonishment regarding the nominations. Jack's mate Colson Smith, who reached the finals on Celebrity Big Brother last year, took to social media with a screenshot showing his vote for Jack to remain in the house. He faces stiff competition from politician Michael, who racked up seven nominations, and fellow thespian Mickey, who found himself on the receiving end of a 'killer nomination' by JoJo Siwa. JoJo was bestowed with the power to make a 'killer nomination' as part of an earlier twist in the week. She selected the Hollywood star Mickey following his derogatory homophobic comment about her during talks of eviction. Celebrity Big Brother airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
