Poncle, the talented developer behind the popular indie game Vampire Survivors, announced today that the long-anticipated cross-save feature has officially launched, allowing players on various platforms to share their game progress seamlessly. However, there is a notable absence as PlayStation users will not have access to this feature at the outset. The developers have indicated that the likelihood of bringing cross-save functionality to PlayStation consoles is currently quite low due to unexpected legal complications.

In a recent update on Steam, Poncle elaborated on the situation: Last month, we informed our community that cross-save would be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as on PC, Xbox, Android, and iOS coinciding with the release of our next free Vampire Survivors update in April. They continued, However, at the last minute, we encountered a legal issue with PlayStation that we were previously unaware of. This issue necessitates that we disclose information regarding our partners, and unfortunately, we are unable to do so. The prospects of implementing cross-save on PlayStation consoles have now diminished significantly, but we remain hopeful that we can work alongside PlayStation to address these challenges.

As of now, the cross-saves feature is fully operational for players using Android, iOS, PC, and Xbox platforms. Additionally, Poncle has confirmed that cross-saves will eventually be available for the Nintendo Switch version of Vampire Survivors, although this will occur at a later date. The developer is also keen on providing cross-save support for the Apple Arcade version of the game, contingent upon ensuring that no privacy commitments are violated.

For those eager to activate the cross-save functionality, Poncle has provided a detailed guide to assist players in this process. It is important to note that these cross-saves do not sync automatically. Players will need to manually save their game data and load it on different platforms as necessary.

In addition to the exciting news about cross-saves, Poncle has also unveiled a free DLC expansion for Vampire Survivors, titled Emerald Diorama, which draws inspiration from Square Enixs renowned SaGa franchise. Furthermore, a whimsical update known as The Coop has been introduced, which features a delightful chicken theme, adding more layers of fun and engagement to the game.
