Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) came into the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season game against Punjab Kings (PBKS) placed bottom of the table. Ishan Kishan was involved in a hilarious piece of fielding that even got a chuckle on Pat Cummins" face. The incident in question happened when Kishan dove to stop the ball just as it seemed that the ball was heading for a four. Pat Cummins picked the ball and returned it back to the bowler in what a hilarious moment in the game. Kishan had started the season with a century in what was his debut game for SRH. Since then the 26-year-old has struggled for runs with Hyderabad having a woeful run in the IPL 2025 season. PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bat first on what looked a great pitch for batting. PBKS openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh added 66 runs for the opening wicket in just four overs. Punjab had scored 89 runs for the loss of one wicket after six overs to register the highest team total in the powerplay for IPL 2025 season. Shreyas Iyer fifty add misery to Hyderabad"s woeful bowling Young Priyansh Arya picked up from where he left off in his innings against Chennai Super Kings from the last game. The youngster hit 36 runs off just 13 balls with four huge sixes and two fours. Harshal Patel got the first wicket of the game when he dismissed Arya caught by Nitish Reddy in the final ball of the fourth over. Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer then added 25 runs for the second wicket which came in 17 balls. Singh was out after scoring 42 runs which came off 23 balls with seven fours and a six. Eshan Malinga who is making his IPL debut got the wicket of Singh caught by Pat Cummins. The Sri Lankan struck again to pick his second wicket of the day as he dismissed Nehal Wadhera for 27. PBKS had reached 168 runs for the loss of three wickets at the end of 14 overs with Shreyas Iyer batting well to score yet another fifty in the IPL 2025 season.
