Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has revealed how manager Ruben Amorim has made him feel the love. It’s been a tough introduction for the Frenchman at Old Trafford since his £59 million arrival from Lille in the summer, with a broken foot ruling him out for five months . But Yoro has started to bloom in recent weeks - and the 19-year-old has paid credit to Amorim for helping him to flourish. Yoro said: “I had a period of adaptation and also the injury. I think I have done better and I always try to give my best to the team. “We trust 100 per cent the coach - and I know he trusts me. It’s good for me to play for a coach who believes in me. We need to be ready for the future and I think the coach will be really good.” Yoro was on target as United forced a 2-2 draw at Lyon in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday night. The Reds now face Newcastle at St James’ Park and Yoro added: “We did well defensively - but we have to be better with the ball. “We need to make sure we don’t concede the first goal and then we can go for the win.” Amorim has been tipped to ring the changes for the trip to St James' Park, with goalkeeper Andre Onana potentially in the firing line. The Cameroonian could be dropped after his two errors in the draw With Lyon, with understudy Altay Bayindir standing by to replace him. Speaking ahead of the game, Amorim said: "We have to face Newcastle with a team that can be competitive to win the game. "Sometimes winning games is the best way of preparing for the next one. Of course, I am going to be careful with some players but again we need to be competitive." Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
