More info US TV presenter Brooke Burns, known for hosting the American version of The Chase, is set to take on a new role hosting the revamped game show Tic Tac Dough on NBC. The show, which originally aired in the 1950s and last appeared on screens in the 1990s, is due to premiere on April 14. To celebrate Brooke's new gig, her friend and colleague Mark Labbett, aka 'The Beast' from The Chase UK, shared a heartfelt post on social media featuring a montage of her highlights from The Chase and Master Minds. A tweet marking Brooke's decade-long impact on the world of quiz shows said: "For 10 years, she's created memorable moments and brought her unique energy to every game show she's ever hosted." The message continued: "We're celebrating @BrookeBurns through the years as we get ready for our newest addition, #TicTacDough premiering April 14th at 7p!". Mark, being his usual precise self, pointed out that it's been 12 years since Brooke first started hosting The Chase USA. Fans took to X to congratulate Brooke, with one enthusiastic fan saying: "She is great! I cannot wait", reports Edinburgh Live. Although Brooke left The Chase in 2015, her absence is still felt, yet the show remains a favourite among American audiences. In 2022, Mark, from Tiverton, revealed he was unexpectedly axed from the US version of The Chase. The quiz expert, who has appeared on the UK and Australian versions, confessed he was "gutted" not to be invited back to the ABC series. Meanwhile, Brooke is set to present Tic Tac Dough, a game show originally created by Robert Noah for NBC. The format features two contestants competing to place three of their marks in a row on a large trivia board. "Both players must try to avoid the dragon, who lurks to steal their turns and stands in their path to victory. After three rounds, the victorious contestant faces off against the dragon in the grand prize round. Here, the dragon moves strategically on the board to block the player's ability to make three-in-a-row and take home $10,000." Brooke previously hosted The Chase from 2013 to 2015, and the series was later revived in 2021 for a two-year run hosted by Sara Haines.
