The market has grown to become a popular staple with hundreds of people coming out every week to support local traders. Areas of Merseyside have been placed under a 24-hour yellow weather warning for rain. The warning came into force from 12pm today and will remain in place until 12pm tomorrow, April 16. Article continues below The weather agency has warned: "Heavy rain may result in some transport disruption and flooding in places on Tuesday and Wednesday." Looking into further detail for tomorrow, the Met Office writes: "Cloudy with further spells of rain, locally heavy, will continue to move erratically north and east across all parts on Wednesday. Gradually turning drier overnight. Windy. Feeling rather cool. Maximum temperature 10 °C." The market has since been renewed every week until mid-December due to its popularity and success. The expansion transformed Stanley Park into a bustling hub of activity, attracting residents and visitors from across the city each week. Stanley Park Market is typically available from 9am to 3pm. Throughout the year, the market will host a variety of community groups and other local organisations to support people with their health and wellbeing. Last year this included special set ups by Everton in the Community and social care initiatives. Visitors can also choose from lots of hot food and drink stalls, with plenty of seating available. The market will be held every Wednesday, except when there are evening football matches or concerts held at Goodison Park or Anfield Stadium.
