Bellevue Park's lead hand gardner has some tips on how to do it If you're wondering what it takes to grow a giant pumpkin, an event scheduled for May is for you. The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library's North Branch will be hosting "How to Grow a Giant Pumpkin" where attendees can gain firsthand expert knowledge on how to grow them from Jeff Marshall. Marshall is the lead hand gardener at Bellevue Park. Attendees will receive a free giant pumpkin seedling. The event is scheduled for May 20 from 6-7:30 p.m. and free to attend, though registration is required.
