M6 closed in Staffordshire live due to police-led incident

A major motorway in the Midlands is closed due to a police-led incident. The M6 motorway has been closed northbound between Junction 12 for Telford and Junction 13 for Stafford by police on Easter Saturday (April 19). The closure has been in place from this morning from around 6.30am, and it is not known when the road will reopen. National Highways has said its traffic officers along with paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance service and police are at the scene on the M6 motorway. The closure is expected to be in place for some time and traffic is being diverted off the motorway.
