Man slashed in the face in city centre flat A man was arrested and drugs were seized from the property Emergency services on Dale Street A man was slashed in the face during an incident inside a flat in Liverpool city centre. At around 4.40pm on Friday (April 18), it was reported to Merseyside Police that a man had been assaulted inside a property on Dale Street. Emergency services attended and a man was found with slash wounds to his face and a small quantity of Class A, B and C drugs were seized from inside the flat. The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment. An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the incident and officers remained at the scene on Friday evening to carry out initial enquiries. Article continues below A 49-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drugs offences and taken into police custody to be questioned. Eyewitnesses told the ECHO they had seen "at least five" police vehicles and two ambulances outside an apartment building yesterday afternoon.
