Writing on X, formerly Twitter, one user said: "Has the Oat So Simple Velvety Chocolate porridge been discontinued? ‌ "Was much nicer than the Hazelnut. Is there anywhere still stocking it?" A spokesperson confirmed on X that the product was no more - with breakfast fans left gutted by the confirmation from the firm. The Velvety Chocolate flavour was discontinued late last year and replaced by 'Hazelnut Chocolate'." The customer replied: "Oh no! It's such a shame. ‌ "The velvety one was so much nicer than the hazelnut. Thanks for the info." On its website, the breakfast brand said: "Our deliciously smooth and decadent Velvety Chocolate flavoured porridge contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and is made with 100% wholegrain oats." In a 2/5 review on Tesco, one shopper said: "It was okay, but not what I expected, sadly; couldn't really taste the chocolate! I bought two different flavours for a change, so tomorrow I will try the Caramelised Biscuit. Here's hoping! I still love the original though." A second typed: "I was pleasantly surprised to really like this porridge. Not a fan of over sweet breakfasts but thought I'd give it a go. It has a very pleasant gentle taste of chocolate without being sickly or overpowering. Just the right amount with a piece of toast for a nice filling breakfast to see you through the morning.
