The 18-year-old defender made his Premier League debut last month, featuring off the bench in a 3-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. Amass made a great impression, earning his first start for United. The teenager was thrown into the starting lineup to face Newcastle last week, replacing Patrick Dorgu at left wing-back. Despite Amass' best efforts, the Magpies stormed past Amorim's side, winning 4-1. A few days later, he repaid the Portuguese tactician's faith and helped United mount a dramatic comeback against Olympique Lyonnais in the UEFA Europa League quarterfinal. Eager to integrate the next generation into his starting lineup, Amorim has given the left-back another chance to impress. So, with that being said, the Manchester Evening News has rounded up everything you need to know about Amass. Who is Harry Amass? Amass, who sees his contract at Old Trafford expire in June 2027, has established himself as one of the most exciting prospects in the United academy since joining the club from Watford in the summer of 2023. The 18-year-old left-back is an England Under-18 international, and he recently captained his country to a 1-0 win over Portugal. Article continues below How has he done this season? Amass has played in numerous competitions so far this season. He has made 10 appearances in Premier League 2, recording two assists. Other appearances have also come in the FA Youth Cup, the UEFA Youth League, the EFL Trophy and the U18 Premier League. This season has also seen him make his first-team debut for United, coming on for the final 20 minutes of the 3-0 away win against Leicester City in the Premier League last month. He has, though, been an unused substitute on several occasions throughout the campaign. What will he bring to Amorim’s side? According to Football Talent Scout, Amass is described as a complete offensive-oriented full-back/playmaking full-back. A report states: "Intelligent player who doesn’t push forward at every opportunity but rather picks his moments carefully and times his attacking runs very well." He is also praised for his footwork and is said to be very comfortable in possession, which suits a possession-based style.
