Dublin Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) continued to coordinate rescue resources in the area, the Irish Coast Guard said as the comprehensive search continued into Sunday afternoon. Search efforts were suspended on Sunday night and are set to resume on Monday morning. In a statement on Sunday night, the Irish Coast Guard said: The Coast Guard Coordination centre in Dublin has suspended an ongoing search for a man overboard from a UK registered yacht. “An extensive search of the area South of Dunmore East was conducted by Coast Guard resources from midnight on Saturday. “The search team included Coast Guard helicopters R117, R116, a UK Coast Guard fixed wing, Dunmore Lifeboat, Kilmore Quay and Ballycotton Lifeboats. “The search will resume on Monday morning.” The operation was launched after the Coast Guard received an emergency call from the man on board the vessel who reported the incident at around 10.40pm. The Irish Coast Guard situated the vessel off the coast of Ceann Heilbhic in Co Waterford. It is believed the vessel was travelling from Brighton to Swansea via Falmouth.
