'Great striker' - Patrick Dorgu makes bold Man United prediction for Chido Obi after revealing friendship Patrick Dorgu is one of a quartet of Danes in the Man Utd squad and he is confident the youngest of the lot can make an impact at Old Trafford. Chido Obi and Patrick Dorgu have been friends since before they both joined United this season Patrick Dorgu has backed 17-year-old Chido Obi to become a "great striker" for Manchester United, after revealing his relationship with his new club teammate goes back a long way. Dorgu, 20, joined United in the January transfer window for £25million, a few months after Obi had completed his move from Arsenal to Old Trafford. But the pair knew each other before arriving in Manchester, with their families going to church together, and they were in contact before they both signed for United. Dorgu has made 12 appearances for the club since his move from Lecce and Obi has now played five first-team games after coming on as a substitute against Wolves on Sunday. Although he is yet to register a senior goal, he has scored 14 goals in 15 games at youth level this term. "I talk to Chido. I know him from Denmark," said Dorgu. "Our families used to go to church together, so I know him really well. Article continues below "I talked to him before he moved here. He has done really well. He has so much potential to be a great striker for United. "We're both young but he's younger than me and he will be a great player for United in the future." Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen complete the Danish contingent at United Dorgu and Obi are two of four Danes in the United squad, with Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund already settled in before they arrived. Dorgu recently went away on international duty with the latter pair and credits them with helping him to settle in at Old Trafford. "It was good to be away with them for the internationals and to get home, if you want to call it, but it was nice and they helped me a lot here as well, to settle with the team.
