The ITV soap has revealed the first look as Daisy's exit looms in a dramatic and emotionally charged storyline, which comes after actress Charlotte Jordan revealed her plans to leave the show earlier this year. After a recent whirlwind of drama involving a secret pregnancy, catfishing, and tangled romances, Daisy is ready to embark on a new chapter at the other side of the world, leaving a void in the heart of Weatherfield and devastation in her wake. The new trailer was shared to Corrie's social media pages, with the caption reading: "Daisy's Dramatic Farewell... Coming soon #Corrie." At the start of the clip, Daisy is heard admitting: "It’s time I left this car crash that is my life behind." In her first interview since announcing her decision to leave Corrie, Charlotte said of Daisy’s departure: "I think it’s very bittersweet for Daisy to be leaving. "Weatherfield has been her home for a while now and, early on, was giving her all the things she wanted – family, community, stability, people to love more than she perhaps loves herself – but it’s also been the source of so much trauma for her." "Producer Kate [Brooks] has been so supportive about me wanting to go back out into the audition circuit and very generous with Daisy’s exit story, as she really wanted to do the character justice."
