3 Teams The Saints Could Trade Up With In 2025 NFL Draft To Get Quarterback

The Saints are in a prime position to take a quarterback with the No. 9 overall pick, but they could use it on another position, like an offensive or defensive lineman. That doesn't mean they would kick the can on a QB in Round 1, however.According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, New Orleans has already made exploratory calls about trading up from Round 2. They could be jumping other potential quarterback-needy teams, like the Browns, Giants and Raiders. It's worth noting the team has two third- and two fourth-round picks.Should the Saints be aggressive and move up from pick No. 40, four teams could be interested in trading back.Minnesota Vikings (No. 24 overall)The Vikings currently have only four draft picks. Minnesota traded its second, third, and fourth-round picks in the 2024 NFL draft in exchange for the pick the team used to take Dallas Turner last year. General manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is not afraid to move around the board.Los Angeles Rams (No. 26 overall)The Rams did not pick in the first round between 2016 and 2024, so it is not uncharted territory for general manager Les Snead, who has still had successful drafts with the hands he's been dealt.Washington Commanders (No. 29 overall)The Commanders moved off some picks to land wide receiver Deebo Samuel (2025 fifth-round pick) and offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil (2025 third-round pick, 2025 seventh-round pick, 2026 second-round pick, and 2026 fourth-round pick). So there's no doubt that general manager Adam Peters would love to get some of his draft capital back.
