The budget-air company released a statement regarding the high winds due to impact the western side of the UK today, which may affect flights taking off. Passengers travelling with the airline were urged to "check their Ryanair app for the latest updates on their flight," due to the weather conditions. Ryanair added: "We regret any inconvenience caused to passengers by these weather conditions, which are outside of Ryanair's control and affect all airlines operating to/from the UK on Tuesday, April 22. Tourists facing long periods of disruption should be eligible for meal vouchers, or assistance at the airport if the flight is delayed for more than two hours or more for flights up to 1,500km. Ryanair also have operations in place if an overnight delay occurs, for example putting holidaymakers up in hotel accommodation and ensuring there is a transport link provided to and from the airport. Any issues when experiencing a delay should be documented by the tourist by keeping itemised receipts for money spent if assistance at the airport was not provided. For those who experience delays of five or more hours, anyone who chooses not to travel may be able to ask for a refund. Ryanair's latest update follows the news the western side of the UK may be hit by high winds today, causing disruption in some parts of the country.
