Can't wait for Christmas! Knife pulled at Good Friday family gathering
A 19-year-old man reportedly pulled a knife on his cousin Friday A Goderich man faces a weapons charge after a fight at a family gathering in Guelph spilled onto the street Friday evening. Approximately 8:45 p.m. police received several reports of people fighting in the area of Woodlawn Road East and Victoria Road North. Investigation revealed two male cousins were arguing because one was intoxicated and wanted to drive home. During the argument one of the men pulled out a hunting-style knife and held it towards the other, causing other family members to intervene. No physical injuries were reported. A 19-year-old Goderich man is charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, causing a disturbance and public intoxication. He will appear in court May 27.
