Good Friday and Easter Monday left many with the opportunity to get away for a few days, catch up on some much-needed life admin or to simply relax and unwind to the fullest. ‌ Luckily, the run of spring and summer bank holidays continues with the Early May Bank Holiday on Monday, May 5, which is followed by the the Spring Bank Holiday on Monday, May 26. While neither of these will live up to the four-day stretch we were just treated to, knowing that two bank holidays fall within three weeks of each other is a very nice prospect to look forward to. Couple that with the expectation of warmer temperatures and rays of sunshine (fingers crossed), both weekends present a golden opportunity to get those staycations, garden BBQs, or festival weekends booked in early. Article continues below There's also a late summer bank holiday to look forward to on Monday, August 25. That'll wrap things up as we move into the colder months once again, with the festive period providing the next bank holidays in the pipeline. Christmas Day falls on a Thursday this year, meaning Boxing Day follows on a Friday and leads into the weekend. ‌ If you're lucky to get Christmas Eve off work, that could result in a five-day break to drink, eat and and be merry. Here are the remaining bank holidays for 2025: Early May Bank Holiday: Monday, May 5, 2025 Spring Bank Holiday: Monday, May 26, 2025 Summer Bank Holiday: Monday, August 25, 2025 Christmas Day: Thursday, December 25, 2025 Boxing Day: Friday, December 26, 2025 ‌ These dates are set by the UK government and apply to England and Wales. Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own bank holidays, which may differ. In Scotland, the summer bank holiday falls earlier than in the rest of the UK; this year it falls on Monday, August 4. Article continues below The Scots also celebrate St Andrew’s Day on November 30. Since this year that falls on a Sunday, there will be a bank holiday on Monday, December 1. In Northern Ireland, the bank holiday commemorating the Battle of the Boyne falls on Monday, July 14, 2025.
