A road near a tourist hotspot is closed in both directions in Devon as a result of a crash early this morning (Wednesday, April 23). Embankment Road that runs alongside Bowcombe Creek is closed outside Kingsbridge near the South Devon National Landscape. The road is closed between the A379 at Bowcombe Creek Bridge and Sandy Lane. Investigation work is currently ongoing. Devon Alert first reported the incident at 5.36am, although it is unclear at this stage who or what was involved in the crash. Devon and Cornwall Police have been contacted for comment.
