Sprecher/Getty Images ) Another new face has joined the ownership group of Everton. The Friedkin Group has added the experience of Christopher Sarofim to Roundhouse Capital Holdings Limited. Sarofim, who serves as chairman of the global investment manager Fayez Sarofim & Co, joins the board of Roundhouse as a board observer, meaning he won’t have any voting rights but will be on hand for the club and its owners to tap into his almost 40 years’ worth of experience in investment, fund management and philanthropy. ‌ The aim of the move is to help Everton continue to strengthen its financial base and build for the future, with the club seeking to get to a point where they can sustainably invest in an impactful way to achieve competitive success while growing the revenue streams of the business. He brings experience, sound judgment and wisdom that will be valuable as we continue to drive the Club forward in all areas.” Sarofim brings a wealth of experience to Everton’s ownership group through his time as chairman of The Sarofim Group and Fayez Sarofim & Co, and president of Sarofim International Management Company. He is a member of Fayez Sarofim & Co.’s Executive and Investment Committees, and a co-manager of the mutual funds that Fayez Sarofim & Co sub-advises for BNY Mellon, as well as being a portfolio manager for a variety of institutional and high net-worth clients, having joined the firm in 1988. ‌ As with Friedkin, whose TFG firm is based in Houston, Sarofim has his roots firmly in the Texan city, with the headquarters of Fayez Sarofim & Co being based there also. The Sarofim family also have a hand in US major league sport through their minority stake in the Houston Texans NFL team.
