Coronation Street offers Jack P Shepherd update away from Celebrity Big Brother as fans cast verdict The actor recently celebrated 25 years on the cobbles, having joined as a youngster in the role of David Platt back in 2000 Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd (Image: Jack P Shepherd Instagram ) Coronation Street fans have been having their say as the show offered an update on Jack P Shepherd while he's taking part in Celebrity Big Brother. The actor recently celebrated 25 years on the cobbles, having joined as a youngster in the role of David Platt back in 2000. To mark the occasion, Jack seemingly decided his first reality TV stint was a must and signed up for the ITV reality show's 2025 series. ‌ And it wasn't the easiest of starts to his reality TV debut, despite him seeming unphased, as Jack's fellow housemates unanimously chose him to be up for the first eviction, against former Tory MP Michael Fabricant, who was the first to leave, and Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke, who was later removed from the house for 'unacceptable behaviour'. Article continues below Jack did end up surviving the first eviction but ended up being put up again. However, after being saved by the public once more, the soap star's votes have dwindled as the drama ramps up elsewhere between his fellow housemates. He's now confirmed his place in the final, which takes place on Friday (April 25), after avoiding being up after face-to-face nominations earlier this week before a triple eviction saw Angellica Bell, Ella Rae Wise and Patsy Palmer evicted on Tuesday night (April 22). While there's now a wait to find out if Jack will be crowned the Celebrity Big Brother 2025 winner, which would see him go further than Corrie co-star Colson Smith who finished in third place during the 2024 series, there's also a wait to see if he can pick up a new piece of silverware for his soap portrayal. ‌ Jack is nominated for Best Comedy Performance at the upcoming British Soap Awards. It was announced last month that the awards bash would be returning this year after a brief hiatus in 2024. Jack is among the nominees as he was named in the comedy gong's shortlist alongside fellow CBB star and EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer.
