This award is given to the player who is deemed the most clutch that season. Clutch can be defined as a close game in the late minutes of the fourth quarter. Time after time this season, Brunson was trusted to close games for the Knicks, and time after time he delivered wins for his squad. In the clutch this season Brunson made 52 field goals, sored 156 points, and his field goal percentage was 51.5. Not only was Brunson reliable in these crucial times, but he was extremely efficient as well. The two-time All Star adds another accolade to his career. Previous winners of this award include Stephen Curry, and De’Aaron Fox, two of the game's great point guards. Brunson beat out Minnesota Timberwolves star guard Anthony Edwards and Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic for this award. Brunson and his Knicks are currently tied 1-1 in their first round series with the Detroit Pistons and they will need Brunson to live up to this award if they hope to beat Detroit, and make it even further. New York has championship aspirations this season, and if they are going to collect the league's top prize they will have to be led by Brunson. Follow me on Twitter.
