L.A. Rams considered dark horse for ‘lottery ticket’ quarterback in the 2025 NFL draft

Sean McVay could be ready for a new challenge Sean McVay has never drafted his own starting quarterback. When he took the job in L.A., Jared Goff was already there, and the two built a relationship that took them to a Super Bowl. Of course, he and Les Snead then orchestrated a trade that sent Jared Goff to the Detroit Lions in exchange for Matt Stafford. They went back to the Super Bowl, and this time they won. McVay is one of the best player-coaches in football. His players love to play for him, and he seems to get the best out of everybody on the roster. However, we’ve never seen that come to light with a quarterback. That may all change over the next couple of seasons if the Rams do decide to pull the trigger on one of the quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL draft. In a move completely out of character for the Rams organization, they used a top-30 visits to get a real look at Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.
