Posting on Truth Social, the US president says: "I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV. "Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Let's get the Peace Deal DONE!" Yesterday, Trump claimed he found it easier to negotiate with Moscow than he did with Ukraine, saying he thought "we have a deal with Russia". He also accused Volodymyr Zelenskyy of prolonging the war in Ukraine due to his stance over Crimea (see 9.41am post).
