But police who arrived at the mansion at around 8.40pm on Tuesday evening found no evidence of a shooter, TMZ reports. ‌ Instead, it was concluded that Ramsay's home had been targeted by a 'swatting' prank - a growing trend where police are falsely alerted to threats at the homes of celebrities or public figures. Arnold Schwarzenegger, actor and former Governor of California, also had his LA home surrounded by police on Thanksgiving 2024 due to a false bomb threat. Swatting became a major trend in 2013, with fake 911 calls being made about the homes of celebrities like Tom Cruise, Miley Cyrus, Kris Jenner, Clint Eastwood, Selena Gomez, Snoop Dogg and Jason Derulo among others.
