Woman accused of assaulting a peace officer

A 27-year-old is facing charges A 27-year-old woman is accused of assaulting a peace officer last week. Sault Ste. Marie Police say someone called 911 to report an unwanted person in the 700 block of Great Northern Road at around 4:30 p.m. on April 16. Arriving officers told the accused to leave the property. “As they were being escorted out, the accused threw their bags at an officer and attempted to kick them three times,” police said in a news release.
