Aldi's 68p buy is everything you need for summer

Easter may well be over but that doesn't stop shoppers from craving a sweet treat. With the warmer weather upon us, Aldi has launched a new range of 'Summer Vibes' desserts and they're well worth checking out. We tried a selection of the fresh puddings, which can be found in the fridge section, to see how they fare. The range includes larger sharing desserts, like a New York Cheesecake and Passion Fruit and Raspberry Cheesecake, £3.49, and smaller individual puddings that come in packs of two. And there's even more in the Specially Selected range, including a large Passion Fruit & Madagascan Vanilla Cheesecake Tart, £3.79, and small pots of tiramisu in two different flavours, pistachio and chocolate and hazelnut, costing £2.49 for two. (Image: Manchester Family / MEN) If you're wanting something a little different on your table this summer then the Belgian Chocolate Ganache fruit is a standout. You get two in a pack for £2.99. Shaped like lemons and raspberries, they almost look like fake fruit, but they're filled with a fruity filling, white chocolate ganache and meringue pieces, covered in a thick Belgian white chocolate shell. The tiramisu was a treat, especially the creamy pistachio mousse with a heavy sprinkling of roasted nuts. And most chocolate fans will enjoy the hazelnut version. But if you're after a lighter dessert to finish off your al fresco dining this summer, there was one that really hit the spot. (Image: Manchester Family / MEN) The Raspberry Panna Cotta comes in two smaller pots, costing £1.35, or just 68p each. You can enjoy it plain if you wish, or it comes with smaller pot of raspberry coulis to add that fruity flavour. It's creamy, it's light, it's delicious. And if you've been stuffing your belly with barbecue, it's exactly what you need for a subtle sweet finish without feeling overfaced. You can find the Summer Vibes desserts in Aldi stores now.
