CRIMINAL charges have been filed against Rigoberto Tiglao, a columnist, for alleged cyberlibel. In a press release issued on Monday, April 28, 2025, the National Bureau of Investigation in Central Visayas (NBI 7) said that charges for violation of Section 4 (c) (4) of Republic Act (RA) 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, and Article 355 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended, were filed at the Office of the Cebu City Prosecutor against Tiglao on Friday, April 25. The case stemmed from an online article Tiglao authored that allegedly defamed Cebu Representative Vincent Duke Franco Frasco.
