West Coast rascal Liam Baker has copped a fine for ripping off Hawthorn forward Mabior Chol’s headband during Sunday’s clash at Marvel Stadium. Chol laid a tackle on Eagles co-captain Oscar Allen to force a stoppage early in the first quarter, with Baker one of three players in the vicinity at the time. West Coast teammates Jack Graham and Liam Duggan helped Allen off the ground, while Baker pulled his former Richmond teammate’s headwear off and tossed it on the ground. Chol took issue with Baker’s antics, telling him off and engaging in a short push and shove before turning his attention to the ball-up. The 28-year-old is later spotted picking his headband up off the turf. Camera Icon West Coast star Liam Baker rips off Mabior Chol's headband. Baker, who is yet to win a game since moving to the club at the end of last season, was offered a $1500 fine for “other misconduct”, which can be downgraded to $1000 with an early plea for a first offence. West Coast star Jeremy McGovern previously accepted a fine for that charge for pressing his elbow into the neck of Melbourne midfielder Jack Viney back in 2022. Meanwhile, Hawks trouble-maker Jack Ginnivan also copped a fine for kicking Graham in the groin and ankle late in the first term. The incident was graded as intentional, low impact and body contact, resulting in a $6250 fine for a second offence. He can accept a $3750 sanction with an early plea.
