Frank Lampard continues to have niggling injury issues to his Coventry City squad ahead of Saturday's huge final game of the regular season against Middlebrough when the Sky Blues can confirm their place in the Championship play-offs. But just when we thought things couldn't get any worse, the club's only specialised right-back, Milan van Ewijk, sat out Saturday's trip to Luton Town while the man who came in to deputise on the day, Joel Latibeaudiere, went down in agony after just a few minutes with a nasty looking ankle injury. Although medics called for the stretcher to come on, the defender managed to get to his feet and run it off before being strapped up at the the break and able to get through the remainder of the match. Elsewhere, centre-back Bobby Thomas has sat out the last four matches with a calf issue and winger Ephron Mason-Clark continues to nurse a foot problem that's also forced him to sit out for four games. Meanwhile, Norman Bassette recovered from one setback, only to be hit with another which ruled him out of the weekend's game at Kenilworth Road. Here we take a look at who's out with what and when they are due to return. Return date: Middlesbrough Joel Latibeaudiere Injury: Ankle What's been said: “I think it was his ankle," said Lampard, speaking after the Luton loss. "It’s typical of Joel, he’s a warrior and I think some players would have come off with that. "Joel didn’t, he got to half-time and strapped it up, and I though he was good today, a great character in the team. He’s a strong boy and had a battle with (Carlton) Morris today, who is a strong boy, too, and he would never back down and that’s what you need.” Return date: Should be available for Middlesbrough. Norman Bassette injury: quad What's been said: Having recovered from a minor knee injury that forced him to sit out against Burnley, the Belgian striker has since suffered with a sore quadricep muscle that meant he missed the trip to Plymouth, with Lampard saying: “He felt his quad in training on Sunday." Providing an update on Friday (April 25), the head coach said: “Norman’s got a fresh quad injury, sort of low to mid-level one so we’ll just have to see how quickly that recovers." Return date: Hopefully back for Middlesbrough. Bobby Thomas Injury: Calf What's been said: “He’s still got the same small calf issue so we will try to get him back as quickly as possible,” said Lampard. Asked if the two will be back before the end of the season, he said: “Yes. With Bobby we’re hopeful. He’s progressing really well so we’re hopeful that he’ll be involved for Middlesbrough. We hope." Return date: He travelled to Luton, albeit not involved, and the target is Middlesbrough. Ephron Mason-Clark Injury: Foot What's been said: “He’s still got his issue with his foot so we’re working on that, which is a work in progress. Ephron probably won’t make Middlesbrough.” Return date: Unknown at this stage but hopeful of a return if City make the play-offs. Oliver Dovin Injury: ACL (knee ligament) What's been said: "As we’ve feared, he’s got an ACL injury, which ends his season. He’s going to have surgery so we’re really disappointed for him and we’ll see in terms of time frame. I’m not absolutely clear on that so I don’t want to go there, but in the short term we know his season’s done.” Return date: Too early to say but anything up to nine months recovery time is usual, sometimes up to a year. Victor Torp Injury: Ankle ligaments What's been said: “He’s a huge miss for us. Torpy has been fantastic in every way since I’ve been here with his attitude, training levels, his technical level is high and he’s scored us some important goals and he can play in different positions in midfield. “So he’s a really big miss and more than anything I’m disappointed for Torpy because I have found him to be a really great lad and professional in this time, and he gives me options that we now lack, which is a real shame for him and us.” Return date: Pre-season.
