Our free email updates are the best way to get headlines direct to your inbox Tony Mojanovski, a star from Married At First Sight, was rushed to hospital last week after suffering a heart attack. The 53 year old gained popularity on the Australian edition of the reality show, which involves two strangers getting married upon their first meeting at the altar. He was taken to Wollongong Hospital in New South Wales on Thursday morning (24th April) following his heart attack. Prior to his hospitalisation, Tony had been experiencing chest pains. He underwent surgery and acknowledged that his "love of partying and cigarettes" had contributed to his health issues. He admitted that he hadn't been feeling well for some time, but is now on the mend. Describing his experience as "pretty scary", Tony opened up about his ordeal, reports the Manchester Evening News. (Image: ryp_society on Instagram) In a conversation with Daily Mail Australia, Tony shared that he had been feeling discomfort in his chest for quite some time. He said: "Luckily I went straight to the doctors. During the week I wasn't feeling well. It has been happening for a long time. "I was just feeling not right, like something was on my chest every now and then, giving me heartburn and stuff like that." Initially, he thought his health scare was due to hereditary heart issues, mentioning that his mother had passed away from an aneurysm. He also conceded that his penchant for revelry might have contributed to his recent health scare, admitting to excessive partying and smoking habits. He confessed: "I was smoking, the cigarettes, the stress, being on the boat, partying - just too many things. It caught up with me, mate. I just need some time without the partying." During his hospital stay, Tony was visited by 'MAFS' co-star Ryan Donnelly, who posted a heartfelt video of their embrace on social media. His caption celebrated Tony's resilience: "Tony Time had a brief intermission dropped by to see my best mate and he was literally on the phone with Adrian. Can't keep a good Macedonian man down, he'll be back to his best in no time!". On 'Married At First Sight', Tony's marriage to Morena Farina was tumultuous from the start, despite initial sparks. The surprise came when, after a two-week period, Tony admitted he preferred a younger spouse with the hope of starting a family, leaving Morena blindsided. Morena didn't linger on the show; upon her departure, she left Tony with a telling exit note simply inscribed with "good riddance". Reflecting on the short-lived union with 9Entertainment, Tony expressed his desire to have gained insight from the experience, saying: "I wanted to at least feel the experience, to learn off her, learn from the experts, get some information about where we're going wrong in life." He further detailed the souring of their relationship: "But it got to a stage where I just couldn't be around her and I was ducking and weaving and I was going to see my dog."
