Ryan Reynolds makes Tom Brady joke as Wrexham toast promotion with Birmingham City trailer tease Birmingham City's rivals Wrexham will join them in the Championship next season - and they too have a documentary Ryan Reynolds, left, and Rob McElhenney (Image: AP ) Wrexham have released the trailer of the new season of their Welcome To Wrexham documentary in the wake of their promotion to the Championship - and it would appear as though the games with Birmingham City, what were the dubbed the 'Hollywood Derbies', feature quite prominently based on the 90-second clip. Blues and Wrexham both secured promotion to the Championship from League One this term having both been separated by the same division last season; while Blues, who have undergone a complete overhaul of the squad and playing staff under Knighthead this season, were relegated, Wrexham had secured their second consecutive promotion. This year, both sides were expected to be towards the top of the table; indeed they were the two favourites with various bookmakers, before a ball was kicked, to find themselves in the Championship in 2025. That has come to pass - Blues have romped to the title and have the EFL record points tally in their sights, while the Dragons have claimed second place. It was announced that Blues would be having their own behind the scenes documentary, with Amazon, showcasing the story of the season with interviews from the main protagonists - it's what Wrexham have done so well up to now, bringing the football and their unique story to an entirely different audience in the US via Disney. The Welsh side's equivalent includes contributions from owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and the trailer opens with the former saying: "Birmingham FC, they have Tom Brady. He's not playing, thank God...is he allowed to play?" There is plenty of coverage of the groundbreaking meeting between the two sides at St Andrew's way back in September, when the likes of McElhenney, Brady, David Beckham and Gary Neville were in attendance as Blues ran out 3-1 winners. Wrexham also welcomed Hollywood actor Channing Tatum over midway through the season for an advert. Article continues below You can see the video below.
