Apple's Beats brand has officially announced the launch of its Beats Pill speaker in two striking new colors: Navy Blue and Blush Pink. These vibrant hues are set to join the existing color palette, which includes the original Matte Black, Statement Red, and Champagne Gold options that were first introduced last June. Interestingly, Beats had previously released special-edition Light Gray and Dark Gray variations through a collaboration with celebrity Kim Kardashian back in October. However, those specific versions have since been discontinued, making room for these fresh additions.

Notably, the new colors come with an exclusive twist. The Navy Blue model will only be available at Walmart, while the Blush Pink version will be offered exclusively at Target in the United States. For international customers, the Blush Pink model is expected to hit John Lewis in the UK and Walmart in Canada later this summer, but it seems the Navy Blue variant will remain a U.S.-only offering.

In comparison to the previous Beats Pill+, which was phased out in 2022, the newly revamped Beats Pill boasts a significant redesign. One of its standout features includes a speaker system that is tilted at a 20 angle, enhancing sound projection for a more immersive listening experience. Other improvements include a removable lanyard for easy portability, USB-C and Bluetooth connectivity, and an impressive battery life of up to 24 hours. Additionally, the speaker is rated IP67, meaning it is both water and sweat resistant, making it ideal for outdoor use and workouts.

The Beats Pill also includes innovative features such as Amplify Mode and Stereo Mode, which allow users to connect two speakers together. This functionality provides either a more robust sound experience or separates the sound into left and right channels for improved audio clarity. The USB-C capability extends beyond charging the speaker; it also allows users to charge their latest iPhones and other devices directly from the speaker. Furthermore, the Beats Pill can function as a speakerphone for connected devices, utilizing a noise-learning algorithm and full duplex support to deliver high-quality call experiences.

To celebrate the launch of these new colors, Beats is also unveiling a series of short animated videos featuring the "Pill People" concept. The new shorts spotlight WNBA star Angel Reese as the pink Pill Person and former F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo portraying the blue Pill Person, adding a fun and engaging marketing element to the product release.

The newly launched Navy Blue Beats Pill from Walmart and the Blush Pink Beats Pill from Target are now available for purchase at the same price point of $149.99 as the standard colors, making them a compelling choice for those seeking both style and high-quality audio performance.
