A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape after a woman was reportedly sexually assaulted in a car park in a Nottinghamshire village. Police were called to Upminster Drive, Nuthall, at about 3.30am on Friday, May 2, following reports of the assault. Officers have since arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of rape. The suspect remains in police custody. A cordon set up at the scene is still in place, with two police cars parked nearby. Nottinghamshire Police said they believe the assault was an isolated incident and urged anyone with information to come forward. Detective Sergeant Barry Haines said: “The victim is currently being supported by specially trained officers while we continue to investigate all lines of inquiry. "A suspect has been arrested in connection with what we believe to be an isolated incident. We appreciate this incident will cause some concern to the public, but I want to reassure them just how seriously we treat all reports of this nature.
