In an astonishing twist, London-based Italian national Adel En Nouri and five accomplices are facing even more serious charges after two brave victims stepped forward, exposing a dark world of qualified human trafficking and illegal detention. This shocking revelation has sent ripples through Lipa City, where the horrifying details of their plight are coming to light.

The new complainants bravely accused the suspects of luring them into false overseas job opportunities, only to be forced into performing lewd acts for online clients. Alongside Nouri, the complaint names Norminda Sope Esperila, Angelito de Guzman, Fatima Arfaqui, Yuness En Nouri, and Mohammed En Nouri, all of whom are now embroiled in this chilling case.

A Deceptive Recruitment Scheme

According to a harrowing six-page complaint, the victims revealed that on January 10, 2025, Esperila and De Guzman approached them while they were working as sales associates at SM City Lipa, presenting themselves as part of the human resources department at the Tamber International Placement Agency. They tantalizingly offered high-paying jobs in the UAE, complete with free accommodations. Trusting their words, the victims followed them to the agency’s office, dreaming of a brighter future.

At the agency, they were introduced to Adel via a Facebook video call. He boasted about his connections and how many Filipinos he had already sent to the UAE. The allure of a better life was too compelling to resist. However, this dream quickly morphed into a nightmare when the victims were asked to pay a staggering ₱80,000 as a placement fee, with an initial payment of ₱10,000 required upfront.

From Hope to Exploitation

Only ten days later, Adel instructed the hopeful applicants to work as “virtual assistants” while they waited for deployment, but the reality was far from what they expected. Instead of preparing for their new jobs, they were coerced into performing degrading acts for foreign clients during video calls. Initially, it started with casual conversations, but soon escalated to explicit acts, as they were told to flirt and undress for the viewers.

They were promised ₱5,000 for each video session, but as the exploitation heightened, their pay was withheld under the guise of covering placement fees. The victims revealed that they faced threats of having their application canceled and losing their already paid fees if they refused to comply with the recruiters' demands. They described a horrifying existence, forced to undress and perform sexual acts over ten long days while under constant surveillance.

Bravery in Escape

It was only on February 9, 2025, that the victims found a glimmer of hope. Seizing a moment when the guards were distracted, they managed to escape the office and sought refuge with their families, who then urged them to report the incident to the authorities. Their courage has sparked renewed scrutiny on Adel En Nouri and his associates, who had previously been charged with similar crimes in Bacoor City and Pasay City, where other victims also reported being coerced into performing online sex shows.

This disturbing case is not just a story of exploitation; it highlights the urgent need for vigilance against human trafficking and the importance of protecting those who seek work abroad. As the investigation unfolds, one can only hope that justice will prevail for these victims.
