As we usher in the month of April, smartphone fans worldwide can look forward to a flurry of new device launches that promise to reshape the landscape of mobile technology. Among the most anticipated releases is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, expected to make its debut around the middle of the month, alongside the OnePlus 13T, which is also set for an April unveiling. These launches are generating significant buzz in the tech community.

Adding to the excitement, recent reports suggest that CMF, the sub-brand of Nothing, is poised to join the April smartphone launch frenzy. The company has teased the impending arrival of a new device on X, a social media platform. According to a report by MySmartPrice, a landing page for this device briefly appeared on the popular Indian e-commerce site Flipkart before it was quickly taken down, fueling speculation about the upcoming launch.

Earlier today, on April 3rd, CMF by Nothing shared an official teaser on its X account. The teaser featured an engaging orange GIF that showcased the camera housing of the new device, accompanied by a cryptic post stating: “In search of the perfect shot. Coming soon.” Although the teaser did not reveal the device's name, industry insiders believe it will be called the CMF Phone 2, following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the CMF Phone 1, which launched in July 2024.

The choice of an orange theme in the teaser hints that the upcoming device may also be available in this vibrant color, similar to the CMF Phone 1. Furthermore, reports from MySmartPrice suggest that CMF might not stop at just the phone; there could also be additional product announcements, including earbuds and a smartwatch, which would expand the company's product ecosystem.

As for the expected specifications of the CMF Phone 2, various rumors suggest a range of impressive features. The device is anticipated to sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, boasting a Full HD+ resolution coupled with an eye-catching 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is likely to be the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, complemented by a robust 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging, ensuring users can keep their devices powered up throughout the day.

In keeping with the lineage of previous Nothing devices, including the recently launched Nothing Phone (3a), the CMF Phone 2 is expected to feature the Essential Key and run on Android with the Nothing OS overlay. The teaser's emphasis on the camera also raises expectations regarding its capabilities. While nothing is officially confirmed just yet, there are indications that the CMF Phone 2 could be equipped with a formidable camera setup, likely consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, it is speculated that a 16-megapixel front camera will be included.

As of now, the only certainty is that something exciting is on the horizon from CMF, with a strong focus on enhancing the camera experience. While fans and tech enthusiasts are left eagerly anticipating further details, it seems we will need to exercise a bit more patience to learn what CMF has in store and when exactly it will be unveiled.
