In a disappointing turn of events for fans, British singer-songwriter FKA Twigs has announced the cancellation of her remaining North American tour dates for April, citing ongoing visa problems. This cancellation affects not only her anticipated performances at prominent events like Coachella in Indio, California, but also a scheduled appearance at Axe Ceremonia in Mexico City this weekend.

On Friday, Twigs took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share the heartbreaking news with her followers. She expressed her devastation, stating, “due to ongoing visa issues I am not able to see through any of my scheduled tour dates for the remainder of April across North America, including Ceremonia and Coachella.” This announcement comes on the heels of another significant artist, Anitta, who also recently revealed her withdrawal from this year’s Coachella festival citing “unexpected personal reasons.”

Despite the cancellations, Twigs conveyed her enthusiasm for her upcoming work, stating, “I am excited to bring you a creation that I have poured my soul into and I believe is amongst my strongest work.” Acknowledging the disappointment her fans may feel, she added, “I know this news impacts so many of you that have already made plans and spent money in order to see these shows.” Furthermore, she assured her audience that she is actively working to reschedule the affected dates, urging ticket holders for the cancelled performances to check with their “point of purchase for details and refund information.”

The challenges Twigs faces with visa issues are not uncommon in the music industry, as many artists encounter bureaucratic hurdles that can impede their ability to tour internationally. Just a few weeks prior, in late March, after kicking off her Eusexua tour in Paris, she was forced to postpone performances in major cities such as Chicago, Toronto, and New York due to her production team’s failure to secure the necessary visa paperwork in time. In a heartfelt TikTok video shared at that time, Twigs expressed her sorrow, stating she was “completely heartbroken,” adding, “All I want to do is be there with you and bring Eusexua to you.”

As fans await further updates regarding their favorite artist’s future performances, they are left with memories of her previous tour moments that she shared on social media, highlighting the creative efforts her team has invested in making her shows memorable.
