Baneham noted that the enthusiastic response from fans on social media platforms, particularly on Twitter, has fueled their desire to portray Pakayan at the highest level. He hinted at an intriguing subplot involving a new character named Ta’nok, another outcast of the tulkun society who will blossom into a romantic interest for Pakayan. Baneham described their chemistry as having a “really great dynamic,” raising the question of whether viewers can expect a heartwarming date scene between the two.

However, Ta’nok is not the only new addition to the rich tapestry of tulkun life that Fire & Ash will explore. The film will delve deeper into tulkun society, introducing a structured hierarchy that includes both a Patriarch and a Matriarch who oversee their clan. Baneham expressed excitement over this development, especially regarding the Matriarch, who will appear in “full regalia”—adorned with intricate rings and tattoos that hint at a rich history and lore beyond what audiences have previously encountered.
