Nottinghamshire Police are appealing to the public for information following a violent cashpoint robbery where a man had his head slammed against a shop window. The victim had taken £200 out of cash point before he was violently attacked as a man headbutted him and then slammed his head against a shop window. The victim was attacked outside the Sainsbury's in Carlton Street, Nottingham, at around 4pm on March 17. The victim was subsequently taken to hospital and he reported that the £200 he withdrew had disappeared during the incident. Officers investigating the incident have released CCTV images of someone they would like to question as a part of their inquiries. PC Toby Arnold of Nottinghamshire Police said: “The victim has understandably been left incredibly frustrated and upset about what happened to him that day. As well as being assaulted in the middle of the city centre, he also lost a substantial amount of cash that he’d withdrawn seconds before the incident. “Our belief is this individual could have some information about the incident which could really help us in establishing the full facts about what happened. “Any information can be shared with the police by calling 101, quoting incident 499 of 17 March 2025, while it can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.”
