The Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart is set to captivate automotive enthusiasts and nostalgic millennials with its latest exhibition, titled Youngtimer. This vibrant showcase will run from April 11 to November 2, 2025, and aims to transport visitors back to the memorable automotive culture of the 1990s and early 2000s.

Designed as a colorful time capsule, the exhibition takes place in Collection Room 5, where ten meticulously selected vehicles are on display. Each vehicle is artistically arranged within immersive thematic islands that reflect the unique spirit and character of its era. Notable highlights include the SLK 230 Kompressor and CLK Cabriolet, both featured in the Easy Life section, which epitomizes the laid-back lifestyle of the decade.

For fans of high performance, the exhibition does not disappoint. The 190 E 2.5 Evolution II and SLR McLaren Roadster are showcased in the Supersonic zone, highlighting their racing heritage and engineering excellence. Meanwhile, those drawn to luxury will appreciate the presence of the CL 600 and CLS 350 CGI in the Refinement display, representing the pinnacle of opulence in automotive design during that period.

The exhibition also includes futuristic concept cars like the Vision R 320 CDI and Vision CLK 320 CDI Cabriolet, which offer a glimpse into the innovative thinking that shaped the future of the automotive industry. In addition, the E 60 AMG stands as a testament to the bold subcultures of the time, channelling the rebellious spirit of car enthusiasts.

In a unique twist, beyond the main exhibition hall, visitors can discover five additional young classics displayed in oversized model car packaging located within the museums multi-storey car park. Among these are the CL 500 and ML 500, both of which are celebrated for their distinct features and appeal.

Interactive stations powered by artificial intelligence allow guests to engage with retro racing games, compose custom music clips, and even insert their faces into digital artworks, creating a fusion of nostalgia and contemporary digital play.
