Man turfed off easyJet plane by police after landing in Turkey A family from Manchester said they remained on the runway for around 30 minutes as police came on board and took statements from passengers An easyJet plane (Image: PA ) A man was turfed off an easyJet plane which was stormed by police after landing in Turkey. Officers in Dalaman boarded the aircraft on the runway after a passenger had 'become disruptive' on board and was reported on Monday afternoon (April 21). A family from Manchester, who flew from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, said they were waiting on board for around 30 minutes after landing in Dalaman and that a number of officers began taking statements from other passengers. "We were kept on the plane for about half an hour after landing while the police took statements." Article continues below The airline confirmed the aircraft was met by police due to the passenger 'behaving disruptively' and said that staff 'acted quickly and appropriately'. An easyJet spokesperson said: “Flight EZY3409 from Liverpool to Dalaman yesterday was met by police upon arrival in Turkey due to a passenger behaving disruptively onboard. “easyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and acted quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers was not compromised at any time. "While such incidents are rare we take them very seriously and do not tolerate disruptive behaviour.
