Police discover gun on town centre street A man has been arrested Bradshawgate, Bolton (Image: Google Maps ) Officers called out to deal with an attempted burglary in Bolton town centre discovered a gun. Police were called out to Bradshawgate after receiving reports of an attempted break-in. Greater Manchester Police says a 36-year-old man was searched at the scene. He was found to be in possession of a gun, as well as power tools. Officers arrested the man on suspicion of going equipped to steal, possession of a firearm and burglary. Article continues below In a post issued late on Tuesday night (April 22), a GMP Bolton spokesperson said: "Following reports of an attempted break-in at a premises on Bradshawgate, officers from the Bolton Town Centre Neighbourhood Team responded. "Upon arrival, PC Waite and PCSOs Wales and Holden located a suspicious male. He was searched and found in possession of a firearm and power tools. "The male, aged 36, has been arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal, possession of a firearm, and burglary.
