Celebrity Big Brother fans all complain about ‘underrated’ Jack P Shepherd’s airtime

Celebrity Big Brother viewers have voiced their main grievance as it was announced that Jack P Shepherd has made it to the final of the reality show. The Coronation Street actor has been confirmed as a finalist in the 2025 series of the ITV programme, alongside Danny Beard, Chris Hughes, JoJo Siwa, Chesney Hawkes and Donna Preston. Jack's spot in Friday's (April 25) live final may come as a surprise after the actor initially struggled in the house. His fellow contestants unanimously nominated him for the first eviction, against former Tory MP Michael Fabricant, who was the first to be evicted, and Hollywood star Mickey Rourke, who was later removed from the house due to 'unacceptable behaviour'. Jack, known for his role as David Platt on ITV's Corrie, managed to survive the first eviction but was nominated again. However, after being saved by the public once more, the soap star's votes have dwindled as tensions rise among his fellow housemates. He has now secured his place in the final after avoiding nomination in the face-to-face nominations earlier this week before a triple eviction saw Angellica Bell, Ella Rae Wise and Patsy Palmer leave on Tuesday night (April 22). The eventful episode did feature a moment for Jack as the soap legend was heard discussing another Weatherfield icon, William Roache, who has portrayed Ken Barlow for 65 years. While discussing his experience working with veteran actor Bill Roache on Coronation Street, Jack P. Shepherd made a startling admission to his housemates, reports the Manchester Evening News. Faced with the question, Jack said: "65 years. "While I've been in here he could be dead. How would I find out?". The cast members were taken aback by his blunt statement, but Jack went on to reveal a humorous aspect of his relationship with Bill, who holds the record for the longest stint on Corrie. He shared an anecdote: "I've only been working with him for 25 years, he still calls me f***ing David. "He calls me David. I see him in the corridor and I go 'morning Bill' and he goes 'Ah, David!'". Fans reacted quickly when Big Brother's Instagram posted the amusing clip, lamenting that Jack hasn't had as much screen time compared to others on the show. User @ellfie1995 admired Jack: "Jack is sooo underrated in CBB." Similarly, @tribalspaceman expressed: "Jack is hilarious and we need to see more of him." @aideenfallon70 pointed out: "Jack seriously hasn't had enough airtime he's brilliant." @miss_natt_natt39 also added her frustration: "It's annoying Jack hasn't had enough air time as the others. Such a shame." Other fans suggested that there might be a reason why Bill refers to Jack as David. @patricialauren14 laughed: "Lmfao actually crying LOL David is actually David in real life." @adele.goodman1 concluded: "Jack is like david that's why, he's so funny."
