The 25-year-old forward has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford recently as Ruben Amorim looks to strengthen his frontline this summer. Cunha, who sees his contract expire in June 2029, has featured 28 times for Wolves in the Premier League this season, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists. Playing a key role in Vitor Pereira's side, the Brazil international steered the club away from relegation to the Championship. ‌ His impressive performances haven't gone under the radar, with numerous top clubs said to be interested in securing his signature. In fact, the Manchester Evening News understands that United has identified Cunha as one of two prime targets, with the other being Liam Delap. The Brazilian's entourage have welcomed interest from Old Trafford ahead of a potential switch in the summer. It's said that Cunha, who has a £62.5m release clause in his contract, could double his £90,000-a-week salary if he were to join United. Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville backed the Wolves star to be a good fit for Amorim. The former Reds defender said: "They're desperate in that position, he would suit the system. They need to score goals, Manchester United." ‌ Earlier this month, Cunha published a series of cryptic social media posts, casting doubt over his future at Wolves. In a deleted Instagram story, he wrote: "Time to be happy. I will follow my dreams, not yours... so stay cool." Speaking to reporters after Wolves' win over Tottenham Hotspur, Pereira was quizzed on the deleted posts and Cunha's future at the club . As quoted by the Express and Star, the Wolves boss said: "About the post I didn't speak (with him). "I didn't speak because I cannot speak with everybody every time. But Cunha is a fantastic player. He proved it today, that he came to the pitch to help the team. ‌ "He proved that he was committed with the team, with his teammates, with the staff, with everybody. He is a special player. But like everybody, like me, he needs the energy of love." Pereira added: "He needs to feel he is important, that the people recognise his work for the team. I honestly feel that he went on the pitch not to think about him, but to think about the team. He is part of our family. "I understand the supporters, I understand the supporters - three times - I understand the supporters, but he is part of our family and together we get stronger and stronger if we are connected."
