Jovan Gregory, 28, had his phone seized by police after he was arrested for other matters in July 2024, which led detectives to discover a series of messages that showed he was supplying Class A drugs. This led to officers executing a warrant at addresses in Mansfield and Kirkby-in-Ashfield on November 6 2024. Gregory was then later arrested at his home in Cedar Street, Mansfield, where police found deal bags, weighing scales, designer clothes and large amounts of cash. Subsequently, Nottinghamshire Police carried out a second raid on another address that Gregory was known at, in Mattley Avenue, Kirkby-In-Ashfield, where they found a safe containing 260 grams of cocaine in vacuum sealed bags as well as more cash. Gregory then appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday, April 17, where he was sentenced to three years and four months in prison after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine. Detective Constable Rebecca Pottage, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We recovered evidence Gregory was making a substantial amount of money from selling drugs in the community. “It was no surprise to discover drugs, cash and designer goods when we searched these two properties connected with him. We know Class A drugs ruin the lives of very vulnerable people and anyone found to be involved in their supply can expect a robust response from the force.”
