Malcolm White is now a senior consultant at Prince Township-based Ironside Consulting Services Malcolm White, who retired last year as the city of Sault Ste. Marie's chief administrative officer, is now working as a consultant. "I am working in a new role at Ironside Consulting Services Inc.," White posted on LinkedIn. "I'm enjoying the opportunity to continue to work with municipalities and First Nations on a wide variety of governance and administrative challenges." "You bring tremendous value to the consultancy and its clients. Congratulations Malcolm. I know you’ll do great work," said former Mayor Christian Provenzano. "By far one of the best assets that firm has," added Josh Ingram, former executive director of the Downtown Association and currently manager of the Downtown Plaza. "Was fortunate to be able to spend a year learning from you before your CAO retirement," Ingram said. "I couldn’t have asked for a better public servant to work alongside as mayor," current Mayor Matthew Shoemaker said when White announced he would retire at the end of January, 2024. White was replaced as CAO by Tom Vair, who had been employed by the city since 2016 as deputy CAO, community development and enterprise services.
