Liverpool ONE's newest store opening will take place this morning, with shoppers expected to queue up in order to be among the first customers through the door of the new store. International clothing brand UNIQLO announced its plans to arrive in the city last October and signage went up at the end of 2024. The retailer will open its first Liverpool store, which occupies the former Tessuti building on Paradise Street, this morning, Thursday, April 24. The store is set to open at 10am, with a ribbon cutting ceremony taking place at 9.45am. Shoppers will be treated to a performance by traditional taiko drummers to officially open the store. The art of taiko drumming has roots in ancient Japanese religious ceremonies and festivals, and continues to be a popular form of entertainment and cultural expression today. The brand promised it would bring a “fresh perspective to Liverpool’s fashion landscape”. Shoppers can expect popular services such as UTme! customisable T-shirt station and a dedicated RE. UNIQLO Studio, allowing customers to repair, remake and recycle preloved items to sustain clothes for longer inside the store. UNIQLO said it was “proud” to collaborate with local partners to make the opening a celebration of the “vibrant Liverpudlian community.” We'll be bringing you the latest from the store opening in Liverpool city centre this morning, with a reporter and videographer at the new location inside Liverpool ONE.
