Speaking to the Express, the 49 year old presenter recounted a particularly "upsetting" incident on A Place In The Sun, which is unusual for the seasoned property expert. The Channel 4 star recalled working with a young woman who had experienced a "terrible time". They eventually found what seemed to be the ideal home for her. ‌ However, as they moved to finalise the deal, things took a turn for the worse. "The most upsetting moment that I've had on this show was quite recently when I was house hunting with a lovely lady, and she had her best friend with her," said Jasmine. I called the agent to ensure they were standing by, but the property had been sold that morning before we spoke. "It was awful. I had to tell her that we had this update from the agent and that somebody else had bought it. She was just about to make an offer on it. We all bloody cried our eyes out. It was horrendous. It was the worst," she revealed. ‌ Jasmine added: "It was really upsetting because we were all on this big high. She had been through a lot, this poor lady. She had been through a really terrible time. It was like a new chapter but the rug got pulled out from under her. So that was really horrible." A Place in the Sun: Couple talk about family bereavement Despite the challenges faced by many in the property market, Jasmine also had a heartwarming tale of triumph for one couple on their quest for a new home. ‌ The Channel 4 star reminisced about Lisa and Paul, a married couple whose dreams of owning a place abroad came true. She shared: "One couple I remember were lovely. Lisa and Paul. She had cancer, and he had looked after her. They didn't have a lot of money. "She received some cash from the health insurance after she got ill, and they had a very low budget, so we took them on a very emotional house hunt. ‌ "We found them an apartment which they bought and it was a lovely, really amazingly emotional moment and when we went back to revisit them I could not believe the difference in them," she shared. Jasmine caught up with them once more for the Channel 4 follow-up programme A New Life In The Sun. "It was so heartwarming to see how they changed their lives so dramatically with their health and new opportunity to travel and make new friends. That was a really emotional revisit for me."
